PEER Reopening Editions - London Fieldworks

For our reopening, London Fieldworks – a locally based and award winning art collective – has generously designed limited edition prints in an edition of 212 and an inhabitable sculptural multiple, in an edition of 25. The editions accompany PEER's relaunch public sculpture Spontaneous City: Hoxton a semi-permanent work taking the form of 212 bespoke bird boxes of varying sizes mounted onto fencing in the new green public space on Hoxton Street. The sculpture is open to occupation by local wildlife, with the sculptural ‘habitats’ designed to contribute to the lifecycle of birds, providing spaces for shelter, nesting or feeding.

Purchase a London Fieldworks 'reopening' edition and support PEER's ambitious public programme - from just £25!

The design of the bird boxes reflects the compact post-war social housing of the local area and the public artwork will provide nesting potential for a variety of birds as well as homes for many insects. The artists have referred to the installation as 'a poetic and eccentric space creation experiment for birds' appearing on Hoxton Street and the Arden Estate. Visit London Fieldworks website to find out more about their previous works.
