Our registered charity name is The Pier Trust, but it was decided that this sounded a little like a cosy seaside watercolour society. So the wisdom of someone, whose identity is now lost and forgotten in the mists of time, proposed that we do a bit of clever wordplay and change our trading name to Peer, which is clearly punchier and generally seemed more relevant. The confusion that this has caused is quite frankly irritating, so the idea now is that we officially become Peer, but that will have to wait while we re-register the charity. Could be several months, but watch this space…
